Who are we?

From hiking our beloved White Mountains to trekking to Everest Base Camp to adventures in running, we’re two New Hampshire vagabonds who love to travel, backpack and try new foods, whether at the bottom of the Grand Canyon or in the Loop in Chicago.

We started this website as a way to document the amazing adventure we took in 2010, when we were married atop Mt. Lafayette in New Hampshire, then travelled to Nepal for a ceremony in Kathmandu before trekking out to Base Camp and climbing 18,250 foot Kala Patthar. That’s how this site, EKP, got its name: Expedition Kala Patthar!

You can read the day-by-day account of that expedition, The Nepal Chronicles, by clicking on the Category link titled The Nepal Chronicles – Chapters. And check out our Facebook page as well for The Nepal Chronicles. The link is: http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Nepal-Chronicles/144220058959153

Well, now we’re home but we keep on keeping on! Life itself is an adventure and we plan on keeping track of it all. Whether hiking, or running, or staying close to home, we’ll post trip reports, photos and continue with a popular feature we call Bizarre Snacks.

And through it all, we’d love to take you with us. Become a subscriber, follow along and tell us what you think. See you on the trails!

    Hi,
Would you be interested in trading guest blog post on our blog, http://onetravelbloggers.com/? We are a blog whose audience enjoys reading anything about travel (e.g. “Best spots in Philly”, “Top 10 beaches in Spain”, “How to travel around Tokyo on a budget”, etc). And, of course, you’ll receive a FOLLOWED link to your blog or page of your choice.
Please let me know if you’re interested. I think you’d be a great fit with our audience, and we’d also like to talk with you about other partnerships.
    Talk to you soon
