Back to the mountains and we pick up a new supporter

Dan leaves for the Whites again tonight to get ready for a 5 a.m. trail start on Friday. The plan is to tag the northern Presidentials (Madison, Adams and Jefferson) before a long ridge hike to the big one, Mt. Washington, and then on to the Lakes of the Clouds Hut for the night.

Meena will join him Saturday, and on Sunday, another long Hut overnight is on tap to finish off the Pemi loop.

As usual, we’ll send out posts as close to real time as we can, so be sure to subscribe to this website, if you have not yet already. Thank you all for your support and encouragement; it’s been an exciting September and we can’t wait to get back on the trail!

In some other fun news, the good folks over at Hike For Life have provided us with some cool stickers and t-shirts to use for our campaign, which we gladly will.

Based out of Amherst, N.H. Hike For Life is run by Derek Skillings, an avid hiker and climber who decided to turn his passion for the mountains into creating some sweet gear, which for now includes stickers and recycled cotton tees.

You can check out the Hike For Life website, which includes trip reports and photos, as well as merchandise here:

Thanks Derek, and good luck on Mt. Rainier!
