Meena has been a city planner in varying degrees since arriving in New Hampshire from Chicago more than a decade ago. She is also a member of the AMC’s 4,000 footer club.
Her real outdoor passion is cycling and running, and can demolish husband Dan at winter snowshoeing. She’s also been known to rescue old window panes from salvage yards and paint wonderful urban landscapes on them.
Her trailname comes from the fact that White Mountain trails are universally built for tall white boys, and someone with a “short step” like herself needs to come along and build more height appropriate steps.
